Final Score - Grasshoppers 18 : Linden 29
Hoppers started the game with a very positive attitude. We were going goal for goal and finished the first quarter with 1 goal in it. The second quarter again went the same as the first with us going goal for goal and only making very minimal mistakes. At half time there was only 2 goals in a very competative match. We started the second half of the game very positively and at the same tempo and the changes that we made bringing on fresh legs gave us a lift. We continued to play well but Linden then upped their game and took a slight lead going into the 4th. We continued to give 110% but Linden with a slight advantage continued with good down court play and some fantastic intercepts which left us playing catch up. It was a very good game with lots of postives for the Hoppers girls. WELL DONE ALL AND CONTINUE INTO OUR LAST 2 GAMES.

Final Score - Grasshoppers 15 : Yendy's A 34
This was a mixed game as we used this as preparation for the regional play offs. No quarter was the same team as we used around 11 - 12 players including players from the second team. Everyone who played fought hard as this was for a place at the tournament on Saturday. We had moments of brilliant netball and then moments where we could and should have done better. There was definatley more good than bad and if we take this into Saturday then we willbe playing regional in the winter. Come on girls lets do it

Final Score - Grasshoppers 23 : Recycles 20
What a game!!! We fought till the end and never gave up. First quarter we started very well with us taking the lead by a couple of goals but this gave the team incentive and the team work was brilliant. We finished the first quarter leading by 4 goals. Late on in the second half we unfortunatly had an injury to our goal shooter Rachel. Although all the team where concerned for Rachel we continued the game and fought hard. At the end of the 3rd quarter we allowed Recylces to get back into there game and therefore ended the quarter on equal goals. The final quarter we gave 100% percent and this paid off as we took the lead by 3 and kept that lead with some great passing and feeding from the centre court. A big well done to the whole team and Rachel get well soon, we miss you.

Final Score - Grasshoppers 20 : Ryland 34
Again a good start to a very hard game for us. The first quarter started well but then half way through we began to slip and Rylands took a 5 goal lead. With every player giving 110% we fought hard to get within 2 at the end of the first quarter. At half time we made slight changes to the team and with fresh legs this gave us a lift and again we started the third quarter going goal for goal which we kept up through the whole of the quarter. With the attack working hard and some very good interceptions from our defence it was a very well fought game for all.

Final Score - Grasshoppers 10 : Linden 34
We made a very promising start against a team that we knew would make us work hard for a win. The first quarter started very well with the end of quarter score 7 -10 to them but with some very good movement, passing and shooting from us. Unfortunalty we could not maintain this for the rest of the game with us only scoring 3 goals in 2 quarters and the other quarter no score at all.

Final Score - Grasshoppers 37 : Wanderers A 27
Both teams got off to a frantic start with the game going goal for goal.Through the first second and third quarters the game was end to end with no more than 2 goals between us. Both teams made changes through out the game but the change we made in the last quarter made the diiference. From the whistle we started pulling ahead. Our defence worked hard and the interceptions where converted into goals with some good movement and passes through centre court. A good game by all and congratulations to Cj for man of the match. Keep up the good work

Final Score - Grasshoppers 20 : DLNC 1 42
It was a very good start to a game which we knew would be hard. At the end of the first quarter we where only down by 3 (7 - 10). We played our own game and it paid off. The second half started with a different tempo from Dudley where they upped their game. Unfortunately we did not respond and mistakes crept into our game. We continued to work hard through out the third and fourth quarter but by this time we had given ourselves a mountain to climb. The whole team worked very hard and kept going throughout the game.

Final Score - Grasshoppers 25 : Yendys A 26
Our first game of the summer season and it is all systems go. We lined up against a young and energetic Yendy's team. After the first 3 quarters of the game we are leading by 6 goals. Each team missed opportunities but with us taking the lead it gave us more confidence when passing the ball around the court. The whole team gave it their all in the final quarter but we did not get the best start with Yendy's pulling back to draw level with us. With Yendy's then taking the lead we were playing catch-up. Unfortunately before we had the chance to regain the lead the final whistle went with us trailing 25 - 26. A very well fought game and a good platform for the rest of the season.
